We have completed revised the Rules and Regulations for the Firefighter Games! Due to the competitiveness of the 2016 Games, we decided to take a long look at some of the rules we’ve been using for the last 3 years, and make some serious changes. Sept 10th - 2016 IFG CHAMPIONS - NELSON NFR-HEAT!
Congratulations to the 2016 IFG Champions the Nelson NFR-HEAT! Winning their second championship in 3 years, team Captain Bob Patton led his team to victory after 2 full days of intense competition. Finishing out the 1st day in second place trailing behind the Gibson FD Smokey Stovers by 2 points, the NFR-HEAT fought back in the second day finishing with a total of 139 points! The big win didn't come easy or without a few battle wounds. Firefighter Chris Thast broke 2 teeth during a door breach when the halligan being held by Firefighter Adam Benalevic struck him in the mouth during the final event. The team pushed hard and recieved an impressive time of 1:33:75 in MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYHEM.

Have you registered your team yet? You may want to get on it, and for a couple of reasons. 1. Teams registrations have been pouring in over the last few weeks and you'll want to ensure that you have a place in this year's line-up! 2. As of July 1st registration fees will be going from $250.00 - $300.00! This years registration deadline is August 15th, but we highly doubt there will be any slots available by then!

March 14 2015 - FILL THE BOOT!
The Robson Volunteer Fire Department, host of the 2014 and 2015 Firefighter Games will be holding their 2nd annual Roadside Boot Drive, outside of Johnny's Grocery and Gas in Robson - March 28th from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Last year the department raised over $6000.00 for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, and are hoping to raise even more this year. There will be some awesome door prizes, and every donation over $20.00 gets a tax reciept! Johnny's will also be donating all proceeds from gas sales to MDCanada!

The Nelson Fire Department (home of the 2014 Firefighter Games champions - NFR HEAT) is selling raffle tickets in support of Muscular Dystrophy, BC Burn Fund and the Nelson CARES Society! Prizes include a 2015 Polaris Sportsman ETX 400cc, a 50' LED TV, Pungo 100 Kayak, Valhalla Pure $1000 gift certificate, Hume Hotel package and a BOSCH 18v cordless drill/driver kit. Rocky Mountain Phoenix has stepped up this year like you wouldn't believe! They will NOT ONLY be donating the four Cairns 1044 Traditional Fire Helmets for our champions, but they are also donating two 2-stage fire service ladders for BIG RED'S Randy Window Rescue challenge! ON TOP of this they have secured us YET ANOTHER SPONSORSHIP! Akron Brass has agreed to donate the pike poles for the Pike Pole Javelin competition! We at Firefighter Games [IFG] are excited to announce that our new website is up and running! You can access our new website by using either fighterfightergames.ca, or our new site ifirefightergames.com. Please be patient with us while we work out the bugs of this new website.
